Troop 66 November Weekend Retreat:
Who: Girl Scout Troop 66
What: Weekend stay at the Krause Family vacation home in Toms River, NJ
When: Friday, November 12 – Sunday November 14, 2010
Where: Meet at First United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. for carpooling to the location (eat dinner on your own first!). Leaders/volunteers will drive girls directly home afterward (return time estimated late morning).
What to bring (Packing List):
Pillow and sleeping bag (or blankets if you don't have one). House has beds and mattresses.
Toiletries (toothbrush, etc.)
Towel (if you plan to shower).
2 pair of shoes with closed toe.
Clothing for two days (Saturday and Sunday): shirt, pants, undergarments, socks. Bring layers of clothing. We will spend a lot of time outside (forecast calls for a nice weekend, but prepare for cool weather/wind).
Something comfy to sleep in (sweats)
flips or slippers for in the house if you want
gloves/hat/scarf and warm jacket
roll of toilet paper, paper towels or paper cups/plates to replenish house stock
Optional stuff:
camera
I-pods, etc. (only for going to sleep at night)
favorite movie and/or game (no Rated R)
hot/cold mug
hair ties

Cost: $20.00 per girl, check payable to Troop 66 or cash in ENVELOPE labeled with name. Covers meals and event supplies; recommend you bring “snack money” for possible stops depending on driver’s plans.
What to expect:
Friday night: games and movies
Saturday: knots/lashings, outdoor cooking, plaster of paris “beachy molds,” campfire and more cooking
Sunday: breakfast, pack-up/clean, leave mid-morning
